OPERATION:
TURN ON / OFF THE POWER AND SETTING VOLUME:
To turn ON the radio, rotate [ON/OFF/VOL] control clockwise until a "beep" sound. All
icons and channel will be displayed on the screen. Turn this knob clockwise to increase
the volume, and turn it counterclockwise to decrease the volume.
To turn OFF the radio, turn the [ON/OFF/VOL] control counterclockwise to stop.
MONITOR FUNCTION:
Press and hold [SQUELCH] side key to turn on the squelch and listen to background noise
or weaker signals. With the squelch open, you can adjust the volume to a suitable level. To
turn off the squelch release the side key.
TRANSMIT / RECEIVE:
Press and hold the [PTT], and then speak into the front of the radio in a normal, clear tone
of voice.
Battery power level.
Keypad lock function.
TX/RX level strength.
Channel number.
