NOTE: Save the carton and these Installation Instructions for future reference. The carton is the best
way to store unit during winter, or when not in use.
PREPARE THE WINDOW

unit must be outdoors, not inside a building or garage.

PREPARE THE AIR CONDITIONER

Remove the air conditioner from the

Remove top rail (h) and R1 hardware (i)
from the packaging material as shown in
Figure 5. (R1 hardware is only included
for Energy star models.)
3.
Align the holes in the top rail (h) with
those in the top of the unit as shown in
Figure 6.
4.
Secure the top rail (g) to the unit with
the 3/8 Screws (g) as shown in Figure 7.
NOTE: For safety reasons, all four(4)
screws MUST be securely fastened.
NOTE: The top rail hardware and Figure
5, Figure 6 and Figure 7 are not applicable to
the units with more than 10000Btu/h. Before
installing unit, the top rail must be assembled
on the unit (For <10000Btu/h models only).
