Press the trigger to release the dosage.
10. Operating the Equipment
10.1. Filling the tank
• Remove the tank lid.
• Fit the strainer and pour the product to be used in the application.
OBS.: Using the strainer prevents inputs stuck together or other impurities from
impairing the equipment performance. Use inputs approved by regulatory au-
thorities and free from excessive moisture.
Strainer
• Remove the strainer, put the lid back on, and tighten it correctly to avoid waste
and prevent humidity from entering.
10.2. Adjusting the dosage
To adjust the dosage, Jacto GB-18 has 3 levels of flow opening: a maximum
opening of approximately 70 g/s, a medium opening of approximately 90 g/s,
and a minimum opening of approximately 45 g/s*. The equipment is set at the
factory at maximum dosage application opening. To select the required flow,
check the steps below.
*OBS.: Data based on urea application. If the operator walks at a speed of approx-
imately 3 km/h, these openings allow applications of 60 g/m a 200 g/m. These
values can range according to density, format, size and condition of the input
used. For more precise data, the flow has to be calculated wiht the help of a scale
and a stopwatch.
• Identify the dosage regulating pin located next to the 45° duct.

• Inside the same place, identify the two dosage flow regulating orifices. The left
orifice (lower) selects the minimum opening. Whereas the right orifice (upper)
selects the medium opening.
• To make some adjustments, just fit the dosage regulating pin in the orifice,
and turn it counterclockwise. To remove it, just turn the pin clockwise. By do-
ing so, the flow opening will go back to maximum.
10.3. Calibrating the dosage
To calibrate the dosage, first fill Jacto GB-18 tank with the input that will be used,
adjust the flow thorugh the dosage regulating pin, use a glass to collect it and a
precision scale. After that:
OBS¹.: For up to 50-g dosage, the minimum flow opening is recomended; for 50-g
to 150-g, the medium opening is recommended, and over 150-g, the maximum
one is recommended.
OBS².: In case Jacto AG-95 Electric Spreader is being used, remove it before-
calibrating.
OBS³.: Calibrate with the spreading duct at the work position, that is, as vertical
as possible. If necessary, remove one or two extender ducts.
• Tare the weight of the collection glass on the scale.
• Press and hold the function selector button until the calibration indicator light
turns on.

• Once dosage is defined, press the trigger to apply inside the collection glass.
• Check if the weight of the applied dosage is close to the one desired
• In case the weight is below the desired standard, press the trigger for more
time. In case the weight is above the desired standard, press the trigger for
less time.
