3. Adjust the auxiliary handle to a comfortable working
position. Lock the auxiliary handle by flipping the handle
lock down (Fig. 9).

In order to operate this cordless grass trimmer you will need
an iON+ 24V System battery and charger. See page 16 for
battery and charger options and specifications, or for more
information visit sunjoe.com.
Starting + Stopping
Before you start the unit, make sure the trimmer is not
contacting with any object.
1. Slide the battery pack in the battery compartment until it
snaps into position (Fig. 10).
IMPORTANT! Make sure that the battery pack is secured
to the tool before beginning operation.

2. To turn the grass trimmer ON, press and hold the safety
lock button with your thumb, then squeeze the ON/OFF
trigger switch with your fingers. Once the machine powers
on, you can release the safety lock button and proceed
with operation (Fig. 11).

3. To switch OFF, release the trigger switch. Remove the
battery from the battery compartment (Fig. 11).

Speed Settings
This grass trimmer is equipped with two variable speed
settings. Slide the speed setting on the handle to change
speed (Fig. 12).
