IMPORTANT! Never allow the battery pack to become fully
discharged as this will cause irreversible damage to the battery.
6. When charging is complete, remove the battery from the
charger by pulling the push lock button and sliding the
battery backward to unlock it from the charger.

complete. Failure to comply could result in accidental starting
and possible serious personal injury.
Unfolding the Aluminum Shaft

WARNING!
In order to avoid pinching your hands or
fingers, do not hold the shaft at the joints.

WARNING!
Do not attempt to start the grass trimmer
until the aluminum shaft has been locked.
1. Remove the battery pack from the grass trimmer.
2. Put the grass trimmer on the ground, unscrew the locking
knob from the shaft joint (Fig. 4).

3. Carefully unfold the aluminum shaft. Make sure that the
cable is inside the shaft so that it will not be pinched
when closing the joints (Fig. 4).
4. Lock the aluminum shaft with the locking knob (Fig. 5).

Fitting the Safety Guard

WARNING!
The safety guard must be properly installed.
The guard provides the operator and other bystanders with
some protection from thrown objects.
1. Lay the trimmer on the ground with the trimmer head
facing upward.
2. Place the safety guard on the metal bracket and align with
the 4 mounting holes. Secure the safety guard to the metal
bracket with the screws provided (Fig. 6).

NOTE: Never use the tool unless the safety guard is properly
fitted.
Fitting the Auxiliary Handle
1. Flip the auxiliary handle lock up to release the handle lock.
(Fig. 7).

2. Slide the auxiliary handle onto the base plate. Make sure
the tabs on both sides of the auxiliary handle slide into the
slots on the base plate. Push until it clicks into position
(Fig. 8).
