1. Specified conditions of use
This charger is only suitable for charging CAS (Cordless Alliance System) battery packs.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
Recommended ambient temperature when charging: 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F)
The CBCH* is suitable for charging CAS Li-ion battery packs (12 V – 36 V, 1.3 Ah – 8.0 Ah, 3-10 cells)
Do not attempt to charge batteries that are not rechargeable. Danger of explosion!
The user bears sole responsibility for any damage caused by inappropriate use.

Special safety instructions
For your own protection and for the protection of your tool, pay attention to all parts of the text that are
marked with this symbol.
Use the battery charger only indoors.
Danger - electrical voltage.
Do not insert objects into the ventilation slots of the battey charger. There is a danger of electric shocks
and short circuits!
In areas with high metal dust exposure do not use this battery charger.
Do not expose the battery charger to fire, sparks or heat. A slightly acidic, flammable fluid may leak from
defective Li-ion battery packs.
Pull out the mains plug immediately if the battery charger starts to smoke or flames emerge.
Do not expose the battery charger to damp or wet conditions.
If battery fluid leaks out and comes into contact with your skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water. If
battery fluid leaks out and comes into contact with your eyes, wash them with clean water and seek
medical attention immediately!

Before use:
Devices like these that generate direct current can influence simple earth leakage protection devices. Use a type F or
better with a release current of maximum 30 mA.
Only use a power supply with the correct voltage and frequency. See the electrical specifications on the
model plate.
Make sure that the air slots are free.
Make sure that the minimum distance to other objects is 5 cm.

Self test.
After plugging in:
The operating display and the warning display light up after the other for approximately 1 second.
The installed fan runs for approximately 5 seconds.
