Items in illustrations in the instructions may differ from
the model being worked on. The illustrations are used
for different instructions and may therefore vary between
engine models. The essential information is correct.
This kit contains:

* Use when Joystick standard is connected to EVC-D/ -E,
and when Joystick+ is connected to EVC-C2/ -C3.
IMPORTANT! Volvo Penta Joystick, Joystick + can only
be installed in combination with the Volvo Penta control
unit for steering wheels and control levers. Only one
joystick per control station can be installed.
Location
• Install the joystick on a horizontal surface.
• The thickness of the surface must not be greater than
20 mm (0.8").
• Consider the operating position. Make sure that there is
space to support the operator's hand and forearm.
• Make sure that the distance to instruments and control
lever is sufficient, so their functionality is not affected.
• All cables must be installed at least 300 mm (12") away
from other cables carrying radio frequencies or pulsed
signals.
Installation
1. Mark out the placement of the joystick. Use the temp-
late located in the back of this installation instruction.
2. Make holes for the joystick (1) Refer to Fig. A and B.
3. Install the joystick on the instrument panel.
4. Connect the joystick harness to the steering wheel
node harness.
5. Make sure that the locking mechanism between the
connectors closes with a click. This guarantees a water-
tight, correct closure.
6. Push the clip on the connectors into locked position.
7. Perform an auto-configuration.

Teile von der jeweiligen Ausführung abweichen. Die we-
sentlichen Informationen stimmen jedoch stets überein.

WICHTIG! Der Volvo-Penta-Joystick kann nur in Kom-
bination mit dem Volvo-Penta-Steuergerät für Steuerrad
und Bedienelemente installiert werden. Es kann nur ein
Joystick je Steuerstand eingebaut werden.
Einbauort
• Joystick auf horizontaler Fläche einbauen.
• Die Oberfläche darf nicht dicker als 20 mm sein.
• Auf die gewünschte Betriebsposition. achten. Darauf
achten, dass Platz zum Abstützen von Hand und Unter-
arm des Benutzers vorhanden ist.
• Darauf achten, dass der Abstand zu Instrumenten und
Bedienhebel ausreichend ist, sodass ihre Funktion nicht
beeinträchtigt wird.
• Alle Leitungen müssen in einem Abstand von mind. 300
mm (12") zu anderen Leitungen verlegt werden, die
Funkfrequenzen oder Impulssignale übertragen.
Einbau
1. Platzierung des Joysticks anschlagen. Eine Lochscha-
blone befindet sich auf der Rückseite der Einbauanlei-
tung.
2. Bohrungen für den Joystick (1) gemäß Bildern A und B
ausführen.
3. Joystick wie im Bild dargestellt in der Instrumententafel
einbauen.
4. Leitungsstrang des Joysticks am Knoten-Leitungs-
strang des Steuerrades anschließen.
5. Stets darauf achten, dass der Einrastmechanismus
zwischen Stecker und Buchse der Steckverbindung mit
einem Klick einrastet. Nur so wird ein wasserdichtes
Verschließen gewährleistet.
6. Die Einsteckverbinder in die Einrastposition drücken.
7. Eine Autokonfiguration durchführen.
