The float must be able to move freely over the whole range of movement and must not be restricted by
the tank walls or by fittings in the tank.
Installation positions with turbulence caused by agitators or filler necks must be avoided at all costs.
Process connection flange - industrial series
For switches of the industrial series with flanges according to EN/DIN, ANSI, etc., the gaskets

class and type of gasket and must be tightened to the corresponding tightening torques. Bolts should
be lubricated with grease.

In the case of uncertainty on any point, refer to the corresponding standard or consult the manufactur-
er.
Process connection flange - standard series
For switches of the standard series PN 25 (360 psi), corresponding gaskets are supplied with the unit.
Minimum tightening torques and tightening sequence see following table:

Level switches incl. flange for high / low temperature applications may not be insulated.
Connecting:
1. Loosen cover screws, remove protecting plug from cable entry and fit cable gland.
2. Insert cable, mount cable end piece and wire according to connection diagram (see inside hinged
cover and instruction). All connection terminals are of self-lifting type.
3. Connect grounding (housing inside) and equipotential bonding (outside, next to cable entry)!
4. Energize power supply only after cover has been closed!
