7. Maintenance and cleaning
7.1 Maintenance
This pressure switch is maintenance-free.
Repairs must only be carried out by the manufacturer.
7.2 Cleaning
Only use commercially available and solvent-free cleaning agents.
7.3 Cleaning in place (CIP) cleaning process
The following instructions are valid only for instruments which have been marked as suitable for CIP in the data sheet.
When cleaning from outside ("wash down"), observe the permissible temperature and ingress protection.

Only use cleaning agents which are suitable for the seals used.
■
Cleaning agents must not be abrasive nor corrosively attack the materials of the wetted parts.

Avoid thermal shocks or fast changes in the temperature. The temperature difference between the cleaning agent
■
and rinsing with clear water should be as low as possible. Negative example: Cleaning with 80 °C [176 °F] and
rinsing at 4 °C [39 °F] with cold water.
