6.3. Battery 9 V
The function of the 9V battery connected to the motor
is to allow the backrest and leg area to be lowered in the
event of a possible power outage. You can only lower
these two areas, not raise them.
In a motor with wire control you can press button 4 of
the control to lower the backrest and feet area, as long
as the 9V battery is connected and charged. You will
notice that the download speed is very reduced.
In the case of a motor with wireless control there are
two options:
1. As in the case of the motor with wire control,
you may press button 6 of the control to lower
the backrest and the feet area.
2. You can press and hold the "Coding" button
located on the motor.
Although the battery can withstand several emergency
drops, we recommend changing it after each
emergency use or, at least, every 3 years.
The wireless motors have two 9V batteries, one for the
emergency
lowering
communication between the control and motor.
