TIGHTENING THE WHEEL NUTS/BOLTS
Note: When tightening wheel nuts/bolts, a torque bar (sold
separately) with the correct torque setting should be inserted
between the impact wrench and the impact socket, otherwise
the nut/bolt might be overtightened and the wheel could be
damaged.
1.
Use a 6-point impact socket that fits exactly onto the
nut/bolt you wish to tighten..
2.
Screw on the wheel nut/bolts by hand using at least 3
compelete rotations in order to prevent possible thread
damage when tighten with the impact wrench.
3.
Fit the socket fully onto the nut/bolts you wish to tighten.
Being always with the bottom wheel nut/bolt.
Reference Values for Maximum Screw/Bolt Tightening Torques
Calculated from the tensional cross-section; utilization of the yield point 90 % (with friction coefficient μtotal
= 0.12). As a controlmeasure, always check the tightening torque with a torque wrench.
