Declaration of noise and vibration statement
Guaranteed sound power level Lw according to EN ISO 3744 in accordance with directive 2000/14/EC. Sound pressure level Lp according to EN ISO 11201, EN
500-4:2011.These declared values were obtained by laboratory type testing in accordance with the stated directive or standards and are suitable for comparison
with the declared values of other machines tested in accordance with the same directive or standards. These declared values are not suitable for use in risk
assessments and values measured in individual work places may be higher. The actual exposure values and risk of harm experienced by an individual user are
unique and depend upon the way the user works, in what material the machine is used, as well as upon the exposure time and the physical condition of the user,
and the condition of the machine. We, Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company LLC, cannot be held liable for the consequences of using the declared values, instead
of values reflecting the actual exposure, in an individual risk assessment in a work place situation over which we have no control.
2. MACHINE TYPE(S)
• This product is designed for operating hydraulic torque wrenches.
• For use only with Titan hydraulic tools. No other use permitted. For professional use only.
• EMC RESTRICTION OF USE: FOR INDUSTRIAL USE ONLY
3. INSTALLATION :
WARNING : WHIPPING HYDRAULIC HOSE
• Hydraulic hoses under pressure can whip uncontrollably if screws loosen or are loosened.
• A whipping hydraulic hose can cause severe injuries.
• Before operating the pump, make sure all hoses connections are tight – use the proper tools to tighten connections.
• Do not over tighten the connections. Connections need only to be tightened securely and leak ‐ free. Over tightening may cause premature thread failure or
high pressure fittings to split at pressures lower than their rated capacities.
• Tighten the nuts on the connections of the hydraulic hoses.
• Check that the hydraulic hose and the connections are not damaged.
HYDRAULIC OIL:
• Use grade 46 Standard mineral or synthetic oil. Make sure to only use clean oil and filling equipment.
• Oil working temperature should be between 20-40°C (68-104°F) above the ambient temperature.
• Maximum oil temperature: Oil temperature must not exceed 70° (158°F),
HYDRAULIC CONTROL AND CONNECTORS
• See figure.
HOSES AND CONNECTIONS
Specifications of the hydraulic hoses (pressure / flow) and couplings :
• Use only Titan recommended hose and couplings.
• Ensure that the tool you plan to use is compatible with the model of pump being used.
• Check the "Technical data" in this instruction book and compare the flow rate with the technical specifications in the instruction book for the machine.
• Should a hydraulic hose ever burst or rupture, immediately shut off the pump. Never attempt to grasp a leaking hose under pressure with your hands. The
force of the escaping hydraulic fluid could cause serious and permanent injury.
• Avoid any conditions which could damage the hose and impair the pump or valve's performance. Never allow the hose to kink, twist, curl or bend so tightly
that the oil flow within the hose is blocked or reduced. This could damage the hose and possibly result in serious injury to persons working in the immediate
vicinity.
• Do not subject the hose to any potential hazard (ex: fire, extreme heat or cold, heavy impact or sharp surfaces) which might rupture or weaken the hose.
Periodically inspect the hose for signs of wear. Never use a defective hose with any pressurized equipment.
• Never paint the hose or the couplers.
• Hose material and coupler seals must be compatible with the hydraulic fluid used.
Connecting hoses
• Switch off the pump using the "OFF" button on the remote control.
• Make sure the couplings are clean and serviceable.
• Attach the return line hose and the feed line hose.
• Start the motor and run the power pack to fill up the hydraulic circuit. Check the hydraulic oil level
Disconnecting hoses
• Fully retract the cylinder and depressurize the hydraulic system by releasing the "ON" button on the remote control before disconnecting the hydraulic line
• Push rubber coverred button on top of manual override solenoid valve to release pressure on the hose. (10)
• Switch off the pump using the "OFF" button on the remote control.
• Remove the feed line hose and the return line hose.
• The couplings are unlocked by moving the collar back on the coupling.
Hose length
• Use only Titan recommended hoses.
4. TRANSPORTATION
• Remove oil from the tank before transportation
• During transport make sure the pump is secured.
• Ensure that the pump is upright during transportation and lifted with approved lifting equipment.
