6. At the end of the seam, the needle must be in the upper
position to allow the thread to be pulled out easily.
7. Lift the presser foot to remove the fabric.
8. To cut the threads, you can pass them over the thread
cutter (12). Or use a pair of scissors.
Buttonholes
1. Place the fabric under the presser
foot (20).
2. Lower the presser foot where you
want to sew the buttonhole.
3. Then select stitch pattern 8 with the
adjusting wheel (3).
4. Sew 5 – 6 stitches with low speed
(L).
5. Select stitch pattern 7 with the
adjusting wheel (3).
6. Sew on the fabric at a suitable
length. Make sure the stitch is
sewn in a straight line.
7. Select stitch pattern 8 with the
adjusting wheel (3).
8. Sew 5 – 6 stitches with low speed
(L).
9. Lift the presser foot (20) and turn
the fabric 180 °.
10. Select stitch pattern 7 with the
adjusting wheel (3).
11. Sew until the buttonhole is com-
pletely sewn.

The upper-thread is not threaded correctly

1. Switch off the appliance by sliding the switch (8) to the
OFF position.
2. Switch off the light with the switch (11).
3. Unplug the power supply unit (26) from the socket.
4. Disconnect the foot pedal (25) and power supply unit
(26) from the sewing machine.
WARNING:
• Switch off the appliance before cleaning. Unplug the
power supply unit from the socket.
• Never immerse the sewing machine, the foot pedal
or the power supply unit in water for cleaning! It could
cause an electric shock or fire.
CAUTION:
• Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.
• Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
• Use only a moderately damp cloth to clean the outside of
the housing. If necessary, use a little hand dishwashing
detergent. Then dry the housing with a soft cloth.
• Clean the area underneath the bobbin cover with a dry
brush.
• We recommend storing the appliance in its original
packaging if you do not intend to use it for a long period
of time.
• Always store the appliance out of the reach of children in
a well-ventilated and dry place.
Troubleshooting
Remedy
Re-thread the upper-thread.
Loosen the thread tension (lower number).
Select a larger needle.
Remove the needle and reinsert it. (Flat side of the
needle points to the back.)
Replace the needle.
