Diesel is toxic and highly flammable! Keep diesel
only in jerry cans designed and approved for this
purpose. Always screw and tighten tank caps and fuel
containers. Defective caps must be replaced.
Never use bottles or similar to remove or store service
products such as fuel. Someone, particularly children, may
be mistakenly taken to drink them.
Diesel fuelling shall be carried out before running the
combustion engine and the generator shall be placed on a
level surface. While the engine is running, it is not
permitted to open the tank cap or refuel.
Refill and empty the fuel tank outdoors only. Before
refuelling, shut off the engine and let it cool down.
Do not overfill the fuel tank. In order to allow space for fuel
to expand, never add fuel above the lower edge of the filler
neck.
If diesel overflows, immediately clean any spilled fuel. The
combustion engine should only be started after the dirty
diesel surface has been cleaned. Any attempt at ignition
shall be avoided until the diesel vapours have volatilized
(dry with cloth).
If diesel has come into contact with the clothing, it must be
changed.
Keep diesel away from sparks, flames, heat sources
or other ignition sources. Do not smoke near diesel
containers and appliances with diesel on the tank, or during
the fuelling process.
