Information
Avoid open doors and window
Switch on the appliance
After you have installed or set up
the appliance ready for operation as
described in the chapter Commissioning,
you can switch it on:
1. Insert the plug into an adequately
fused mains socket.
Ensure that the mains cable is laid
behind the appliance. Never lay the
mains cable in front of the appliance.
- Operation check light will come on.
(control with manual thermostat)
De-commissioning

Never touch the mains plug with
wet or damp hands
1. Remove the mains cable from the
mains socket by holding the plug.
- Operation check light will go out.
2. Allow the appliance to completely
cool.
3. Clean the appliance as described in
the chapter Servicing.
4. Store the appliance as described in
the chapter Storage.
ERRORS AND FAULTS
Warning of electric current
Activities that require the
housing to be opened may only
be caried out by specialists.
The appliance was checked several times
during production for fault-free operation.
Should faults nonetheless arise, check
the appliance for the following.
The appliance does not start:
• Check the mains connection.
• Check the mains cable and plug for
damage.
• Check the factory-fitted mains fuse.
• Wait 10 minutes before re-starting the
appliance. If the appliance does not
start, have it checked by an electrical
specialist.
The surface of the appliance bulges out
• The material expands through heating.
This is normal. No action is required.
The surface of the appliance only heats
up slightly:
• The mains voltage does not comply
with requirements. Check the mains
voltage.
• The ambient temperature is low. This
is normal. No action is required.
The appliance makes a noise after
switching on:
• The material expands on heating. The
insulation also expands and causes
the noise This is normal. No action is
required.
Note
• Wait at least 3 minutes after all
servicing and repair work. Do not
switch the appliance on again until
then.
Is your appliance still not functioning
after these checks? Remove the mains
plug.
Contact customer service or take the
appliance for repair to an authorised
electrical specialist.
