Dolby Pro Logic IIx allows you to enjoy a 7.1 channel surround experience when listening to
stereo and 5.1 surround content, and select listening modes to tailor the sound to
your liking.
You may enable both features using the HS1 control panel software covered in the previous
section. To ensure that you are getting the best audio experience, make sure that the audio
configuration menu within movie playback software and games is set to "5.1 speakers,"
"7.1 speakers," or similar. Choosing "headphones" from within games and applications may
cause the audio to be downmixed to stereo, since most headphones are only capable of
stereo output and the game or application may assume that the HS1 is not capable of
reproducing multi-channel audio.
