8. Atmospheric pressure
• The integrated barometer measures the atmospheric pressure in hectopascal (hPa).
• The atmospheric pressure corresponds with the weight of the surrounding air masses and depends on the weather situation and the local altitude.
• The relative atmospheric pressure is referred to the sea level's pressure and must be set to the current reference value at the installation site (see:
"Manual settings").
8.1 Developing of atmospheric pressure
• The graphical display shows the atmospheric pressure history of the past hours in three selectable time periods (default: 24 h):
– 24 h (in steps of 2 hours, difference ± 6 hPa)
– 3 h (in steps of 15 minutes, difference ± 3 hPa)
– 1 h (in steps of 5 minutes, difference ± 3 hPa)
• Briefly press the SET/MODE button to select the time period. "1 h" is flashing. Use the SET/MODE button to make the desired setting, while the value
flashes.
• Wait 5 seconds, the device will automatically use the setting you have made.
• After start-up, all bars are in the "0" position until the device has collected the necessary data.
• The "0h" in the middle of this scale is equal to the current pressure and each change (±2, ±4, ±6) represents how high or low in "hPa" the past pres-
sure was compared to the current pressure.
• If the difference is greater than the display range, no bar is displayed.
• If the bars go down, it means the atmospheric pressure has dropped and the weather is expected to get worse. If the bars are rising it means that the
weather is getting better.
8.2 Atmospheric pressure difference
• The display T-1h and T-3h shows the largest deviation from the current atmospheric pressure within the last hour or within the last 3 hours in hPa.
• If the atmospheric pressure drops rapidly (1 to 2 hPa per hour), there is a risk of thunderstorms and high winds.
8.3 Alarm function for atmospheric pressure difference
8.3.1 Setting mode of the alarm
• You can set a low alarm and a high alarm for the atmospheric pressure difference T-1h and T-3h respectively.
• Press and hold the ALARM button for three seconds to enter the alarm setting mode.
• As the first setting option, the symbol for the upper alarm limit (default OF(F)) flashes in the area T-1h. Press the CH/+ or MAX/MIN/– button to set the
desired upper limit (+0,1 to +9,9) while the indication flashes.
• Confirm the setting with the ALARM button.
• If you do not want to set an alarm, press the ALARM button again to move to the next alarm.
• The order is as follows: T-1h upper alarm limit, T-1h lower alarm limit, T-3h upper alarm limit, T-3h lower alarm limit.
• Press the ALARM button again to return to normal mode.
• When activated, the corresponding alarm symbols appear on the display.
• To deactivate, set the respective alarm limit back to "OF(F)" in alarm setting mode using the CH/+ or MAX/MIN/– button.
8.3.2 Alarm event
• In the event of an alarm, the corresponding symbol will be flashing and an alarm tone will sound for about 60 seconds.
• The alarm tone sounds again three times every 30 seconds, until the measured value is again within the alarm limits.
• Stop the alarm sound with any button.
• The alarm symbol continues to flash until the measured value is within the alarm limits.
9. Trend arrows
• The trend arrows on the display will show whether the atmospheric pressure of the last 3 hours is increasing, steady or decreasing.

10. Location and mounting
• Avoid being close to possible sources of interference that may affect the DCF signal reception. It is recommended to keep a distance of at least
2 metres to possibly interfering sources (TV, computer, microwave, wireless phones, baby monitors) and large metal objects (e.g. refrigerator). With-
in solid walls, especially ones with metal parts, the transmission range can be reduced considerably. In extreme cases, please place the unit close to a
window to improve reception.
• Is the transmission successfully, you can wall mount the device. Slide the holder downwards and release it from the anchorage. To wall-mount, screw
the holder to the wall and click the device into the holder. For table standing insert the holder into the two indentations.
• Do not use the device in the vicinity of radiators, other sources of heat or in direct sunlight.
11. Battery replacement
• Change the batteries, when the battery symbol of the base station appears.
12. Transmitter (optional)
• The device is expandable with up to 3 temperature-humidity-transmitters, cat. no. 30.3249.02, for outdoor or indoor use (sold separately).
• For having more than one transmitter, select different channels for each sensor with the 1/2/3 switch inside the battery compartment. Insert two new
AA 1.5 V batteries, polarity as illustrated. Start the base station operation or the manual search for the outdoor transmitter:
– Choose the respective channel by pressing the CH/+ button.
– Press and hold the CH/+ button for three seconds. The last registered transmitter (channel) will be cancelled and the transmitter search begins.
– Press the TX button in the corresponding transmitter's battery compartment. The transmission of the outdoor data will take place immediately.
• The outdoor values and the channel number will be shown on the base station display. Use the CH/+ button to switch between channels 1 to 3 and the
indoor temperature.
• When pressing the CH/+ button again, a circle symbol will appear after the last registered channel. On the display all values are displayed in sequence.
To deactivate the function press the CH/+ button again.
13. Troubleshooting
Problem Solution
➜ Ensure the batteries' polarities are correct
No display on the base station

➜ Check the outdoor transmitter's batteries
