UNPACKING
This product requires some assembly.
Carefully remove the product and accessories from the box. Make
sure that all items listed in the packing list are included.
Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or damage
occurred during shipping.
Do not discard the packing material until you have carefully
inspected and satisfactorily operated the product.
If any parts are damaged or missing, please call 1-800-633-1501
for assistance.
WARNING: Do not connect to power supply until assembly is
complete. Failure to comply could result in accidental starting and
possible serious personal injury.
WARNING: If any parts are damaged or missing do not operate this
product until the parts are replaced. Failure to heed this warning
could result in serious personal injury.
WARNING: Do not operate the trimmer without the guard attached.
TOOLS NEEDED
The following tool (not included) is needed for assembly:
Phillips screwdriver
ATTACHING SAFETY GUARD (See Fig 1)

Fit the safety guard onto the trimmer head by aligning the tab on
the trimmer head with the notch in the safety guard. The screw
holes in the safety guard should be aligned with the screw holes
in the trimmer head.

Install the screws and tighten securely.

ATTACHING THE AUXILIARY HANDLE (See Fig 2)

Loosen and remove the wing nut and bolt from the handle.
•
Install the handle on the rear handle pole in the area indicated
by the illustration.
•
Adjust handle up or down, if necessary, to desired operating
position.
•
Reinstall the bolt and wing nut. Tighten wing nut to secure.

ATTACHING THE STRING TRIMMER TO MOWER DECKER
(See Fig 3,4)
WARNING: Before attempting any of the assembly or disassembly
steps below, ensure your string trimmer is switched off and
disconnected from the power supply.

Slide the bottom of the string trimmer head (A) into the front of
the trimmer pocket (B) and rotate the trimmer guard down into
the pocket until it snaps fully into place as shown in figure 3. If
trimmer has a wire guide (D), the wire guide should be flipped
up.
NOTE: Ensure the cutting line is underneath the deck and not
protruding out the top.

Using the string trimmer auxiliary and back handles, lift up the
string trimmer and ensure the mower deck is securely attached.
•
The trimmer should be in the position shown in figure 4.
•
To remove the string trimmer from the mower deck, step on the
release lever (C) and lift the trimmer out as shown in figure 5.
CAUTION: Depending on the string trimmer, the assembly may
become unbalanced and tip. Care should be exercised when using
on uneven ground or a slope. String trimmer should be removed
from mower deck when storing or when user leaves its vicinity.
