Via the bar graph (n), the input level is indicated
sepa rately for the left channel "L" and the right
channel "R" When "PEAK" is indicated on the right
of the bar graph, the corresponding input channel
is overloaded In this case, turn back the control
VOLUME or reduce the level of the signal source In
addition, it is possible to attenuate the input signal
by 10 dB For this purpose, proceed as follows:
1) Keep the button SET (4) pressed for more than
approx 3 s In the upper line (k) of the display,
"FREQ " will flash
2) Press the button SET repeatedly until "ATT " in

5.2 Monitoring the transmitter
via headphones
The signal of the transmitter can be monitored via
headphones connected to the jack (8) or (9) Adjust
the volume for the headphones with the control
MONITOR (7)
WARNING Never adjust a very high volume Per-
manent high volumes may damage
your hearing! Your ear will get accus-
tomed to high volumes which do not
seem to be that high after some time Therefore, do not
further increase a high volume after getting used to it
5.3 Inserting the earphones
For an optimum fit in different ears, the earphones
are supplied with three pairs of silicone sleeves in
different sizes Select the size best suited for your
own ears and place the sleeves on the earphones
Alternatively, individually adapted sleeves (otoplas-

Insert the earphones for the left ear marked
"L" (28) and for the right ear marked "R" (29) into
your ears and lead the cable over your outer ear to
the back of your head This will ensure a tighter fit
than leading the cable directly downwards

do not further increase a high volume after getting
used to it
If there is no sound, check

ter 5 2)
)
– if the reception indication (a) indicates reception
) with the
of a wireless signal (one or more vertical lines next
to the antenna symbol)
– if the distance to the transmitter is too long or if
there are any obstacles in the transmission path
which may prevent a reception of the wireless
signal
– if the transmitter and the receiver are adjusted to
the same frequency
To protect your ears from sudden signal peaks, it
is recommended to switch on the limiter (
ter 5 5 3)
The balance control (19) has two different func-

[the display will indicate "STEREO" (d)], the volume
ratio between the left and right earphones is adjusted
with the balance control When the receiver is set to

two independent mono signals are sent as stereo,
it will be possible to adjust the mixing ratio of these
