The weather station displays one of the eight moon phases depending on
the position of the moon, the earth and the sun:

Read the calendar in the right bottom corner of the display.

7. Cleaning and Maintenance

 The weather station and transmitter do not need any particular
maintenance.
 Gently wipe the device regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use
alcohol or solvents. Do not apply pressure on the display.
