• if you take medicines which make skin more sensitive to light,
including non steroidal anti-inflammatories (like aspirin, ibuprofen,
paracetamol), tetracyclines, phenothiazines, thiazide,diuretics,
sulfonylurea,
sulfonamides,
griseofulvin, alfa hydroxy acids (aHa), beta hydroxy acids (BHa),
retin-a®, accutane® and / or topical rethinoids or azelaic acid.
• if you have abnormal skin conditions, like albinism or vitiligo.
• if you have varicose veins in the treatment areas.
• if you are being or have recently been treated with alfa hydroxy acids
(aHa), beta hydroxy acids (BHa), retin-a®, topical rethinoids or
azelaic acid.
• if you have abnormal skin conditions caused by diabetes or other
systemic or metabolic disorders.
• if you have been treated with accutane® (isotretinoin) for the past
6 months.
• if you have been on steroids during the last 3 months.
• if you have a history of herpes outbreaks in the treatment area,
unless you have consulted your doctor and have been treated
before using the appliance.
• if you suffer from epilepsy.
• if you carry an active system, such as a pacemaker, an incontinence
aid, an insulin pump, etc.
• if you suffer from diseases related to photosensitivity, such as
porphyria, polymorphic light eruption, solar urticaria, lupus, etc.
• if you have a history of skin cancer or areas of potential skin
malignancies.
• if you have undergone radiation therapy or chemotherapy within

The appliance removes unwanted hair and selectively affects the hair pigment.
Various amounts of pigment (melanin) are also found in the surrounding skin tissue.
The amount of pigment in the skin, which affects the skin tone, determines the risk
posed to the skin when any type of pulsed light epilation is used.

Using the appliance on dark skin can cause adverse effects such as burns,
