Unpacking and delivery inspection
Check that all of the items indicated below are included in the package, and that
nothing has been damaged:
- Balance
- Pan
- Instruction manual
- Adapter
In case the balance or any component presents any damage due to transport tell it
immediately to your transport agent or dealer so that they can make the claims in the
correct time limit.
Turning the power on
1. Connect the balance to the power supply or install 4 batteries (type AA 1.5 V) in its
corresponding compartment. Press the power switch at the back to its On position
(-).
2. Press On/Off key; display will automatically light on and go through the changes
indicated below until finally displaying 0.0 g (series 5171) or 0.00 g (series 5172).
Note: The initializing sequence depends on the stability of the load cell, thus, the
balance must not be located in an unstable surface or near wind blows.
