We recommend carrying out the following step with a second person.
3. To tighten the funnel (6), push the hose (5) into the inner opening at the bottom of the funnel (6).

To make the insertion of the hose easier, it can be lightly greased. Make sure that the oil/
grease used is food grade.

Make sure that the end connection of the hose (5) are at the opening.

4. Connect the suspension straps (11) to the bracket (7).
5. Fill the collection container (8/9) and insert it into the holder (7).

6. Inflate the ball (12) with the supplied air pump (15) until the ball (12) has a diameter of approx.
55 cm.
N OTI CE
Do not over-inflate the ball as it will continue to expand as it warms up and could
otherwise burst or tear.
7. Plug the ball (12) with the plug (13).

8. Attach the funnel (6) to the bracket (7) using the hook and loop straps and the clamp (18) and hang
the ball (12) on the bracket (7) using the strap (10).

9. Hang the suspension straps (11) to the upper post (3).
The horsefly trap is ready for use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Check and empty the collection container regularly.

Make sure that the ball is inflated at all times.

Regularly check that the horsefly trap is secure and has a firm standing.

Some animals use the horsefly trap as a plaything or nibble on its funnel. In this
case, you should protect the horsefly trap with fencing.

TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
N OTICE

Store the product and especially the ball in a cool (not cold!), sun-protected,
dry place.
»
Make sure that the horsefly trap is dry and free of moisture before storage.
»
Before transport or storage, empty the collection container and let the air out
of the ball.
»
Dismantle the post before transport.
