Fitting the Adaptor System and MBX Belt
®
Before carrying out any work on the tool itself, disconnect the air supply.
Loosen and remove the screw (9) together with the washer (8). Open the Adaptor System (6)
and insert the MBX belt (7) with the tips pointing in the direction of rotation. Apply the outer part
®
of the Adaptor System (6) and tighten the screw (9) and washer (8).
Initial operation
Connect the tool to a compressed air system with a maintenance unit (filter, regulator, oiler).
Continuously Variable Speed Control
MBX Pneumatic runs with variable speed, depending on the pressure on the trigger (2). Light
®
pressure results in a low speed and makes smooth, controlled starting possible. In this manner,
the best speed can be selected for each operation to be performed. Furthermore the MBX units
®
are equipped with a variable speed regulator (3). This regulator allows working at a maximum
set speed on different materials. By rotating the controller ring, the speed can be adjusted.
Marking on the tool indicate the Rpm increasing or decreasing.
Reversable rotation
The variable speed regulator (3) on the MBX Pneumatic units can also be set to have the unit

run in opposite direction. The opposite rotation can be used for re-sharpening MBX belts.

ALWAYS CHECK CORRECT ROTATION DIRECTION BEFORE STARTING SURFACE PREPARATIONS.
Advices for operation
• The machine must not be used without the handle (1).
Press the machine only as hard as necessary onto the surface of the workpiece.
