separately).
If you have the TIG TORCH accessory (Ref. 2045685) and want to use your CALAF MIG-MMA-TIG OM200I welding torch for
TIG welding, you should take into account:
The main purpose is to protect the electric arc and melted metal from oxidation with an inert or semi-inert gas atmosphere,
originally developed to overcome the difficulties of welding magnesium. It can also be used with many other metals, including
carbon steel and its alloys.
The weld is produced by fusion, with an electric arc between a metal electrode, either consumable or non-consumable, and the
piece to be welded, protected by an inert or semi-inert gas around the arc. It uses a TUNGSTEN electrode with a high fusion point
that doesn't melt or vaporise quickly in the presence of the intense heat of the arc.
