Important safety instructions

Please read these instructions before operating and retain for future reference.
• Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of
children.
• This appliance is designed to operate from a mains supply of 220-240V ~ 50/60Hz. Check that
the voltage marked on the product corresponds with your supply voltage.
• The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate
remote-control system.
• This appliance is for indoor use only. Do not use outdoors.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household. Do not use this appliance other than
intended use.
• Do not use this appliance for any purpose other than preparing food.
• Always use the appliance on a stable, level and heat resistant work surface. Do not use on the
floor.
• Do not place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, in or where it could touch a
heated oven, or a microwave oven. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight and high
humidity.
• Do not let the connecting cord overhang the edge of the work surface or allow it to touch hot
surfaces or sources of heat or flame.
• The use of accessories or attachments not supplied or recommended by manufacturer should
not be used as this may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
• Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it
immediately.
• Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or
approaching parts that move in use.
• Check the appliance and supply cord for damage on a regular basis. Do not use the appliance
if it is damaged. Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized
technician.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or
similar qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Do not use the appliance if the blade is damaged.
• Do not operate the appliance after a malfunction or if it has been dropped or damaged in
anyway.
• Caution: Blade is very sharp. Handle with care. Care is needed when handling cutting blades,
especially when removing the mesh, emptying the grinding bean container and during
cleaning.
