Initial Operation
Observe correct mains voltage: The voltage of
the power source must agree with the voltage
specified on the nameplate of the machine.
Equipment marked with 230 V can also be con-
nected to 220 V.
Before switching the machine on, set
down the machine on the two rear
chaser rollers 10 in such a manner that
the diamond cutting discs do not touch
the workpiece.
Switching On and Off
To start the machine, press the On/Off switch 1
forward and then down.
To lock-on, push the pressed On/Off switch 1
further forwards.
To switch off the machine, release the On/Off
switch 1 or push and release it then.
Switch version without lock
(country-specific):
To start the machine, press the On/Off switch 1
and keep it depressed.
To switch off the machine, release the On/Off
switch 1.
Never set down the rotating machine on
the chaser rollers 10, moreover lay it on the
side so that the cutting discs can run freely
and do not point toward the body.
Check the diamond cutting discs before
use. The diamond cutting discs must be
mounted properly and able to rotate freely.
Carry out a test run for at least 30 seconds
without any load. Do not use any diamond
cutting discs that are damaged, out-of-bal-
ance, or vibrate.
Reduced Starting Current
As a result of soft starting, a 13 A fuse is ade-
quate.
Overload Protection
When overloaded, the motor comes to a stop.
Relieve the load on the machine immediately and
allow to cool for approx. 30 seconds at the high-
est no-load speed.

Restarting Protection
Prevents uncontrolled restarting of the machine
after an interruption in the mains supply.
Restarting
switch 1 to the Off position and start the machine
again.
Operating Instructions
The machine may only be used for dry ma-
chining of masonry.
Pre-select the cutting depth, as described in the
same-named section.
Note: To compensate inaccuracies that occur
when breaking away the fin, the cutting depth
must be set approx. 3 mm deeper than the re-
quired slot depth.
Always guide the machine with both handles.
Do not guide or carry the machine by the ex-
traction elbow.
Set down the machine on the two rear chaser
rollers 10 in such a manner that the diamond
cutting discs do not touch the workpiece.
Switch the machine on, slowly lower it and
plunge into the material.
Work with moderate feed, suited to the mate-
rial being worked, while paying attention to
the cutting direction!
The direction in which the cutting is performed is
important.
The machine must always work in an up-grinding
motion. Therefore, never move the machine in
the other direction! Otherwise, the danger exists
of it being pushed uncontrolled out of the cut.
At the end of the work cycle, pivot the running dia-
mond cutting discs out of the groove and switch
the machine off.
Do not reduce the speed of running down cutting
discs by applying sideward pressure.
