Increasing or Reducing the Desired Speed Continuously:

Slide switch (B) to the left or hold push-button (A) depressed.

The vehicle accelerates or decelerates automatically.

As soon as you reach the desired speed, release the push-button or the
slide switch, respectively.
Increasing or Reducing the Speed by 1 km/h:
-
Slide switch (B) to the left or press push-button (A) once.
This procedure can be repeated as required.
The vehicle increases or reduces the set speed in steps of 1 km/h.
Calling the Set Speed Stored Last – memo(ry) function:
The VDO compact tempostat
®
stores the last set speed until the device is
switched off (slide switch to "OFF" position) or the ignition of the vehicle
is switched off.

To activate the memo function briefly push the slide switch (B) to the left.
Risk of damage caused by the engine's
overspeeding! Activate the memo(ry) function only
in the gear in which you were driving with the pre-
CAUTION
vious set speed.
The VDO compact tempostat
®
accelerates the vehicle in a controlled man-
ner to the last stored speed and maintains it.
Switching Off:
The regulating function can be switched off at any time by actuating the
brake, the clutch (not with automatic gearboxes) or by pushing the slide
switch to the "OFF" position.
The memo(ry) function can be recalled after actuation of the brake or
clutch.
When the VDO compact tempostat
®
is switched off via the slide switch or
the ignition of the vehicle, the memory is cleared.
