5.0 LFP Mode
Fiber LFP (Link Fault Pass-through) test mode is an important feature in fiber optic
networks that allows efficient troubleshooting and maintenance. When enabled, the
LFP test mode helps quickly identifying the location of faults or issues within the fiber
link.
In this mode, the fiber optic equipment continuously monitors the link for any
disruptions or abnormalities. If a fault occurs, such as a break or loss of the fiber
signal, the LFP test mode automatically passes the fault information to the appropriate
network device.
To activate the LFP mode on the AC4455, dip switch 1 needs to be set to ON.
LFP can only be used in "Adaptive Mode".
