THE MT-76 MICROTORCH DOES NOT CONTAIN BUTANE GAS
WHEN PURCHASED
GAS REFILLING
• Use only Master Ultratane™ Butane Fuel.
• Make sure that the fuel adjustment wheel (2) is in "off" (-) position.
• Shake gas container a few times to warm fuel up.
• Insert the container nozzle tip vertically down into the gas refill
opening(7). Use a pumping action for best results. (fig 1)
• After filling allow a few minutes for the gas to stabilize.
LIGHTING 3 IN 1 TRIGGERTORCH (A)
• Turn fuel adjustment wheel(2) counterclockwise 2/3 of a turn.
• Using both hands, pull safety lock down and hold with one hand,
while simultaneously depressing trigger with free hand. Flame will
ignite instantly. (fig. 2)
• For hands free use, follow instructions above. When trigger is
COMPLETELY depressed, move the hands free on/off slide to
the right. (fig. 7)
LIGHTING SOLDERING IRON (B) / HOT BLOW (C)
• Make sure the soldering head or hot blow head are not hot when
interchanging it.
• Fit either the Solder head or Hot blow head over the burner head. (fig. 4)
• Ignite the flame and wait for about 5-10 seconds to heat up the tip.
(fig. 5a) Push the shutter lever(4) forward and hold for about 2-3
seconds before releasing it.
• At this time, the ceramic element inside the tip will glow red (fig. 5b)
and then it is ready to use for soldering iron or hot blow. (fig. 6)
Caution! Failure to extinguish the ignition flame by pushing the shutter
lever and then releasing it will cause overheating and damage the torch.
FLAME/TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT
• Adjust the torch flame by turning the fuel adjustment wheel clock-
wise (-) or counterclockwise (+). Adjust the flame to approximately
1/2 to 1 in. (10-25 mm) in length when using. Counterclockwise

(+) gives you a longer broad flame, clockwise (-) gives you a
shorter pinpoint flame. Don't make the flame too long as it will
only waste the gas and make the flame unstable. (fig. 3)
STORAGE
• Turn fuel adjustment wheel clockwise (-) to off. If engaged, move
on/off slide lock to the left to shut off the gas flow. (fig. 7)
• Make sure that the torch/tips are cool before storing or
leaving unattended.
