SOLAR PANEL INSTALLATION
Location
Find a location for the solar panel that is in direct sunlight and not in the shadow of adjacent
obstacles such as trees, roof overhangs, etc. Ideally the panel should be positioned in such a
way that the distance between the solar panel cabling and the charge controller is as short
as possible and offers sufficient space for the panel to be accessible for possible mainte-
nance work.
MC4 Connector
The output cables of the junction box of the solar panel are connected with MC4 connectors.
The positive cable has a male MC4 connector ("+") and the negative cable has a female MC4
connector ("-").
The MC4 connectors provide a reliable and waterproof way to easily make electrical con-
nections between the solar panels and the extension cable.
