Slide the chrome end of the slow-motion control cable onto the
declination axis gear shaft as shown and tighten the knurled
setscrew to hold the cable in place. Make sure the face of the
setscrew presses against the flat surface milled into the axis
gear shaft.

Center the dovetail in the mount and tighten the fastening screw to
hold it in place. For added security, tighten the angled lock down
screw next to the fastening screw, as shown.

Once attached and centered, tighten the small screws to hold the
StarPointer finderscope in place.

Follow the same steps to mount the other slow-motion control cable,
but attach it to the right ascension axis gear shaft.

Loosen the setscrew in the focuser and remove the plastic cap
covering the end of the focuser. Insert the diagonal into the
focuser and retighten the setscrews. Insert the 20mm eyepiece
into the diagonal and tighten the setscrew to secure it in place.

To use the finderscope, remove the clear plastic tab sticking
out from the battery compartment to turn the unit on. (Refer to
downloadable Instruction Manual for further instructions.)

Place the optical tube on the EQ mount as shown, centering the
dovetail with the corresponding base plate on the mount, and sliding
it into position. You may have to back the fastening screw and lock
down screw.

Attach the StarPointer finderscope to the rail mount on the top
of the telescope tube. This may require backing out the small
screws on the base of the StarPointer finderscope to allow it to
fit over the rail on the mount.
