When handling a cutter blade, al-
CAUTION
ways wear gloves and put the blade
cover on the blade.
Installing/Removing the Blade
The blade is shipped uninstalled and must be in-
stalled before use.
Guard
To install the blade:
1. Remove battery pack.
2. Insert the head removal tool into the spindle lock
and keep in place.
3. Attach the blade onto the shaft so that the guide
of the lock plate fits in the arbor hole in the blade.
4. Place the washer onto the shaft, on top of the blade.
5. Place the hex nut over the washer and tighten the
hex nut with 115-204 in-lb. of tightening torque.
6. Remove the hex wrench and head removal tool.
To remove the blade:
1. Remove the battery pack.
2. Turn the brush cutter upside down.
3. Insert the head removal tool into the spindle lock
and keep in place.
4. Insert the hex wrench over the hex nut. Rotate
clockwise until the hex nut loosens. Remove the
hex nut.
5. Remove the hex nut, washer and blade.
Installing/Adjusting the Handles
To install the handles:
1. Remove battery pack.
2. Verify the blade or trimmer head
is parallel to the ground.
3. Place the handles in the handle
clamp and insert the top piece
of the handle clamp.
4. Place the supplied clamp spring
in the slot.
5. Install and tighten the handlebar
adjustment knob.
To adjust the handles:
6. To adjust the handles, turn the
handlebar adjustment knob
counterclockwise. Ensure the
handles are perpendicular to
the shaft.

7. To adjust the handlebar placement, use the pro-
vided hex wrench, loosen the torx screws at the
bottom of the handle clamp.
NOTE: The handle clamp must be placed on the
shaft 18 inches from the power head.
8. Rotate the clamp, if necessary. Ensure the hori-
zontal portion of the handle is parallel to the brush
cutter blade or trimmer head.
CAUTION: Do not place forward most point of
trigger handle less than 33" from the attachment
head. Do not place handle clamp more than 18"
from end of power head. Ensure the handlebars
are perpendicular to the shaft.

9. To lock the handles in position, turn the handlebar
adjustment knob clockwise.
Attaching the Harness
Do not wear multiple harnesses
WARNING
simultaneously. When wearing a
shoulder strap, ensure that no other wearable
interferes with the release and removal of the
strap.
When operating this tool, use the harness to reduce
user fatigue and help in maintaining control during
use.
To wear the harness:
1. Put both arms through the
straps.
2. Secure the buckle around
your waist.
3. Adjust the straps to tighten and
fit comfortably.
4. Adjust the waist strap as
needed.
To install the harness:
1. Remove the battery pack.
2. Insert the clip into the harness
mount.
3. Ensure the clip is secure around the harness
mount.
4. Adjust the harness mount location forward or
back along the shaft until the tool is balanced
appropriately.
