4. START-UP INSTRUCTIONS

QUESTIONS PRIOR TO START-UP
• Before starting up the pump, check that voltage and network power corresponds
to those indicated on the pump specification board.
• With three-phase motors, verify that the rotation sense is correct by checking the
fan back of the motor (fig.3)
• Pumps should never run dry, otherwise the mechanical seal could be damaged,
thus causing a possible water leak.
• Check that the pump shaft turns freely.
