INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
F. Connect the electricity
WARNING: Refer to Section 680 of National Electrical Code. When using electrical products, basic precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
1. DANGER: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. Connect only to a circuit protected by a ground-fault circuit-interrupter.
2. Grounding is required. The unit should be installed by a qualified installation technician.
3. Building materials and wiring should be routed away from the pump body or other heat-producing components of the unit.
WARNING:
External circuitry need to equip with high sensitive and fast type leakage protection switch. (Induced current rating below 15mA, trip time
should less than 0.1 second, rated current is about 15A.)
The bathtub must be connected to the ground. Power outlet must be sealed well. Make sure the surface of each wire is intact.
The product should be installed the grounding and electric leakage switch by a qualified licensed electrician.
G. Pillow
Put the pillow on the bathtub headrest and press the suction pads in position tightly.
H. Water test
After completing the above installation steps, it is time to perform the post installation water test. This will detect water leaks caused by improper
operation of the installation process at an early stage and avoid losses:
1. Fill the bathtub with water at least 2" above the highest jets.
2. Turn on the water jets for 30 minutes. Then inspect the door seals for leaks.
3. Verify drain plunger opens and closes freely.
4. Inspect underneath tub drain hose for leaks.
5. Run the faucet and handshower and inspect for any leaks at connection locations.
I. Silicone seal & fixed
Bathtubs installed in an alcove installation require a raised flange to prevent
water from seeping past the tub and into the wall. The bathtub should be
installed with a tile flange kit (Not Supplied). The flange kit is a long plastic
strip that fits onto the rim of the tub to provide the leak protection needed.
The tile flange should be installed on the tub before it is placed in the alcove.
Install the tile flange along all sides of the tub where the wall will be. Measure
to fit and miter cut the flange corners. The flange should be attached to the
tub with a construction adhesive. Once the tub is in place to be installed and
flange kit mounted, fasten the flange to studs using fasteners.
CAUTION:
Never attempt to nail or screw through the bathtub as this will result
in product failure and will void the warranty.
J. Clean after installation is complete
When cleaning after installation, do not use abrasive cleaning implements to avoid damaging and tarnishing the surface of the tub. Clean the surface
of the tub with warm water and a non-aggressive liquid cleaner.
Difficult-to-remove stains can be cleaned with alcohol. The plaster can be scraped off with a thin wooden knife. For residual grout, use a damp cloth
with liquid laundry detergent.
CAUTION:
Under no circumstances use wire brushes, metal sponges, steel wool or scouring pads on any part of the tub, or solvents that contain
petroleum distillates such as acetone, benzene or abrasive cleanser on any part of the tub. Use caution with ammonia and chlorine-based
cleaners on metallic trim components. The metal surface is a plated finish and these types of cleaners can erode or discolor the finish.
CLEANING THE BATHTUB WITH THE ABOVE ITEMS WILL VOID THE WARRANTY!!!
