WARNING:
Before installing this accessory,
shut the engine off and allow it to cool.
Disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark
plug. Refer to the mower's Operator's Manual
for complete safety instructions.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove Existing Discharge Baffle (using two 1/2"
wrenches) from the cutter deck. Do not discard.
Discharge Baffle must be reinstalled when mulch kit
is removed. See Figure 2 below.

Note:
Chute deflector removal is not recommended. If
it is removed, the chute deflector and the the discharge
baffle must be re-installed when the mulch kit is
removed.
2. Remove Existing Carriage Bolt and Hex Nut (using
a 9/16" wrench) from Caster Bracket Assembly. Do
not discard. This hardware must be used when
mulch kit is removed. See Figure 3 below.

3. Attach Mulch Baffle [B] to the front Inside of the
deck using (1) 3/8-16 x 1 1/4 Carriage Bolt [D] and
(1) 3/8-16 Flange lock Nut [E] as shown in Figure 4.
Do not tighten mounting hardware at this point of
the assembly.

4. Attach Mulch Baffle [B] to the outside of the cutter
deck skirt at the discharge opening using (1) 5/16-
18 x 3/4 Hex Cap Screw [C] and (1) 5/16-18 Flange
lock Nut [A] as shown in Figure 5.

5. Tighten mounting hardware and be sure Mulch
Baffle [B] is tight up against the top edge of the
discharge opening. See Figure 6 on page 4.
