7. Final Check: Verify that all mounting bolts are tight and the Mulch Baffle [B] is tight up against the top edge of
discharge opening. Before reconnecting the spark plug wire, check the blade to baffle clearence. With the key in
the off position, and the blade clutch engaged, slowly but firmly pull the engine starter cord several times and
listen for the blade making contact with the baffle or hardware. If contact is suspected, double check that the
Mulch Baffle [B] is properly installed. If Mulch Baffle [B] is properly installed and contact is still suspected then
contact customer service at 1-800-659-5917 or log on to managemyhome.com.
Note:
Chute deflector removal is not recommended. If it is removed, the chute deflector and the the discharge
baffle must be re-installed when the mulch kit is removed.
