Recoil Start
When starting the engine with the recoil start, set the toggle
switch in the "ON" position before pulling the starter handle.
1. Make sure all appliances are
disconnected from the generator.
2. For recoil start, firmly grasp the recoil
handle and pull slowly until increased
resistance is felt. Pull rapidly up and
away.
If engine fails to start after 3 pulls, or if unit shuts down during
operation, make sure unit is on a level surface and check for
proper oil level in crankcase. This unit may be equipped with a
low oil protection device. If so, oil must be checked at proper
level for engine to start and run.
