4. MAINTENANCE AND CARE
Clean the helmet with neutral soap and water.
Do not use any other substances to clean the helmet; contact
with corrosive substances may cause damage not visible to the
naked eye.
Do not use the helmet if it has been exposed to these substances.
Do not expose the helmet to high temperatures greater than 140
°F (60°C); do not expose the helmet to the sun for prolonged
periods of time; do not expose the helmet to contact with or near
heat sources.
The expected lifetime of the helmet is three years from the date of
manufacture. VR46 Racing Apparel S.r.l. recommends replacing
the helmet after that period of time; in any case, the helmet must
be replaced when it shows obvious signs of wear or when it has
suffered an impact or been damaged.
The useful life of the helmet may be less than three years in case
of exposure to sunlight or incorrect handling and storage.
