Mixy Link is interlocked to the filtration by a free contact NO on the contactor that controls the pump.
Even if this contact is shut, there may be no water flow at the level of the dosing pump injection
(drained filtration pump, multiport valve on the WASTE position, by-pass ball valve closed...).
As a default setting, this option is not activated (OFF).
In order to use this function, install a flow switch ref. AQUCDRN2.0 on the pipe at the level of the
chemical solution injection, then connect the 2 wires of the flow switch (not provided) on the
connector « Flow » of the electronic card.
You'll have to drill and use a cable gland (not provided) in order to pass the cable.
In case of defect, the message Alarm Flow will appear on the second line of the display screen.
STAND-BY
When activated (ON), this option imposes a time dela of 15 minutes between the analyze and the
injection.
The Stand - by message appears on the second line of the display.
By default this option is not active (OFF) in pH mode and active (ON) in Rx mode.
4.2 FIRST OPERATION AND PREPARATION OF THE POOL
The water parameters must be monitored (T.A., Hardness and stabilizer) and adjusted if necessary.
The T.H. (Hardness) measures the water hardness, it must rank between 10°f and 25°f (French
degrees).
The T.A. (Total Alkalinity) measures the buffer capacity of water, it must rank between 8°f et 14°f
(French degrees).
The stabilizer (isocyanuric acid) protects chlorine from UV rays, it must rank below 50mg/l (50ppm), if
higher it is compulsory to renew all or part of the pool water by adding new water.
There is no accurate equivalence of a Redox value (Rx) in terms of quantity of sterilizing solution. After
24 hours of operation, it is necessary to analyze water using a DPD1 test kit, and increase or decrease
the original set point (according to the result obtained).
At a constant pH level, the rate of free chlorine inside the pool must rank between 0.5mg/litre (0.5ppm)
and 1,5mg/litre (1,5ppm)
5.0 MAINTENANCE
! Caution !
Always use appropriate safety gear (goggles, mask, gloves, suitable clothing) when operating the dosing pump
(operation, maintenance, service) in order to avoid any risk of injury by ejection or leak of the injected liquid that
may be in the body of the pump.
Please refer to the Security sheet of the chemical product, provided by the supplier.
Periodical maintenance is compulsory to maintain a reliable and long-time functioning of your dosing
pump. Due to several operating factors (type of chemical solution used, concentration, continuous
operation...) it is impossible to define at which periodicity maintenance needs to be done.
Standard maintenance :
Visual control of the chemical solution level, of the pipes (probe,
inlet/ outlet of the pump, injector) and peristaltic pipe
Check the pH and free chlorine rates in the pool using pellets test kit Once a week
Re-calibration of the dosing pump
Rinse with clean water of the pump body, valve, and injector
100897- indB – 0209
22 / 40
Minimal periodicity
Once a week + during any visit in the
pump room
Once every 3 month period
Or in case of measure drift
Once every 3 month period, before any
seasonal re-start and during winterizing.
