ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. To Install/Remove Battery Pack
To Attach Battery Pack
a. Align the mounting grooves on the battery pack
with the raised ribs in the hedge trimmer's
battery port, as shown.
b. Slide the battery pack into the tool until it snaps
into position.
NOTICE: Make sure that the latch on the hedge
trimmer snaps into place and the battery pack is
secured to the tool before beginning operation.
Improper assembly of the battery pack can cause
damage to internal components.
WARNING: Always be aware of the location of your feet, children, or pets when
pressing the battery-release button. NEVER remove the battery pack at a high position.
Serious injury could result if the battery pack falls.
To Detach Battery Pack
a. Hold the battery pack in the palm of your hand.
b. Press the battery-release button with your thumb; the battery pack will disengage from the
latch.
c. Grasp the battery pack and remove it from the tool.
WARNING: Battery tools are always in operating condition. Therefore, always remove the
battery pack when the tool is not in use or when adjusting or cleaning the tool.
2. To Remove/Install the Blade Guard
WARNING
• Always remove the battery pack from the
product when you are assembling parts,
making adjustments, cleaning, or when the
product is not in use.
• Always wear gloves when removing or
installing the blade guard (I). Be careful with
the blade and protect your hands from being
injured by the blade.
a. The hedge trimmer is shipped with the blade
guard installed. Before use, slide the blade
guard off along the blade ridge and remove it.
b. After using and before storing or transporting the hedge trimmer, clean the blade and insert
the blade into the blade guard; cover the entire length of the blade and make sure that the
open side is facing upward.
