TROUBLESHOOTING
POSSIBLE CAUSE
The light only works after dark
Wall switch or circuit breaker is off
The light bulb burned out
Light bulb is loose
Incorrect or loose wire connections
The sensor is picking too much light in the early evening
The sensor is picking too much light comes from other light sources,
such as street lamps or other light fixtures
The fixture is under the shade
In dark condition such as cloudy and overcast day, the light may stay
on longer than anticipated
Manual override mode is on
The sensor may be picking up a heat source, such as a heater, dryer
vent, or heated swimming pool
The switch is not set in any mode
The bulb is non-dimmable or the quality of light bulb is not good
Passing cars and reflective objects interfere with the sensor
Street or sidewalk traffic is triggering motion sensor
The sensor may be picking up a heat source, such as a heater, dryer
vent, or heated swimming pool
SOLUTION
Check after dark or cover the sensor for testing
Turn on the wall switch or circuit breaker
Check and replace the light bulb if needed
Tighten the light bulb
Check wire connections
Relocate the fixture away from the wall facing west
Eliminate or turn off other light source, block other light
source from shining onto sensor, or relocate fixture
Relocate the light fixture
No corrective action needed
Turn off the light for 5 seconds, then turn it on
Eliminate heat source or relocate fixture
Select again the mode you want
Test the bulb and change it if needed
Relocate fixture
Adjust the "Sens" knob to reduce the sensitivity
