INITIAL SET UP AND OPERATION
NOTICE
► Before using the device, make sure that the blades are oiled to prevent
damage to the device. The blades are already oiled at the factory, but it is
recommended to check this before first use.
► Before use, make sure that the clipper blades are sharp to avoid injury to the
animal by pulling out hairs.
► To reduce dulling of the clipper blades, clean the animal's coat thoroughly
before each clipping.
7.1
SWITCHING THE CLIPPER ON AND OFF
1. Make sure that the on/off switch (3) is pushed towards the battery (4).
2. To switch on the clipper, slide the on/off switch (3) towards the clipper head.
CAUTION
► Only use the device with correctly inserted and sharp clipper blades.
► Do not use the device for longer than the maximum continuous use specified.
Allow the device to rest for at least 10 minutes afterwards.
3. To switch off the clipper, slide the on/off switch (3) towards the battery (4).
Info
If the clipper does not respond to being switched on, charge or change the
battery (4), see section 9.1 and section 7.4.
7.2
ADJUSTING THE BLADES
Before use, the tension of the blades should be set
correctly. If the tension between the clipper blades
is too low, hair will collect between them, making
clipping much more difficult.
1. Switch off the clipper.
2. To adjust the blades, turn the tensioning nut (2)
tightly until the first resistance is felt (Fig. 1).
3. To achieve best tension between the clipper
blades, turn a further 1/4 turn at the most.
Info
► If the clipping result worsens, the tension between the blades is no longer
correct. Switch off the device and turn the adjusting screw (2) for 1/4 turn to
restore the tension.
► If the clipping result does not improve after adjusting the tension, the clipping
blades must be sharpened. Contact a specialist for this.
