Sandwich maker Use instructions
ATTENTION: do not cover the appliance when it is operating to avoid the risk of fires.

In case of need you should return the appliance to this electrician.
FIRST USE
During the first use, the non-stick coated baking plates could produce some smoke; this is NOT
harmful, it is normal and will disappear after a short time. Before the first use, we advise you to clean
the baking plates with a soft damp cloth and to operate the appliance for 10 minutes without food.
USE
1. Insert the plug in the power socket, the pilot light will come on to indicate that the appliance is
switched on.
2. The appliance starts to preheat; when the cooking temperature is reached, then the ready light
will come on and the sandwich maker is ready for use.
3. Fully open the sandwich maker. Place the sandwich you prepared on the baking plate.
4. Close the appliance and check the food during the cooking process.
5. Your sandwich will be toasted in 2 to 3 min or longer to suit your taste. Open the toaster and re-
move the sandwich using a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use a metal knife as this may damage
the non-stick coating.
6. Unplug immediately when finished.
HINTS FOR BEST RESULTS
Always preheat before use. Plug cord into power outlet while preparing the fillings.
Flavoured butter may also be used.
For additional flavour use bacon dripping.
Brush drippings on the outside of the bread.

ATTENTION: The temperature of the outer surface may be high when the appliance is operating.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Attention: before cleaning the appliance, switch it off, remove the plug from the outlet and wait for
it to cool.
- Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to clean the body; do not use metal scouring pads or abrasive pro-
ducts.
- When the appliance is not in use, place it in a dry environment.
- If you decide not to use the appliance anymore, we recommend making it inoperative by cutting
through the power cord (first make sure that you have removed it from the current socket), and ren-
der the parts that are dangerous if used in child's play innocuous.
- A special tool is required to replace the power cord: take the appliance to a qualified after-sales
centre.
