6.1.1. Indoor unit power supplied from outdoor unit
The following connection patterns are available.
The outdoor unit power supply patterns vary on models.
* Affix a label A that is included with the manuals near each wiring diagram for the indoor and outdoor units.

*1. Max. 50 m, 165 ft
*2. Max. 500 m, 1640 ft (For two wired remote controllers: Max. 200 m, 656 ft)
*3. The figures are NOT always against the ground.
S3 terminal has 24 V DC / 28 V DC against S2 terminal. However, between S3 and S1, these terminals are not electrically insulated by the transformer or other device.
Notes: 1. Wiring size must comply with the applicable local and national code.
2. Power supply cords and indoor unit/outdoor unit connecting cords shall not be lighter than polychloroprene sheathed flexible cord. (Design 60245
IEC 57)
3. Use copper supply wires.
4. Use UL wires rated 300V or more for the power supply cords and the indoor unit/outdoor unit connecting cords.
5. Install an earth longer than other cords.
6. Indoor and outdoor connecting wires have polarities. Make sure to match the terminal number (S1, S2, S3) for correct wirings.
7. Wiring for remote controller cable shall be apart (5 cm, 2 inch or more) from power source wiring so that it is not influenced by electric noise from
power source wiring.
8. This appliance incorporates an earth connection for functional purpose only.
Warning:
Never splice the power cable or the indoor-outdoor connection cable, otherwise it may result in a smoke, a fire or communication failure.
