• Remove the LP cylinder from the lighter before attempting to clean.
• Surfaces of the Lighter may be cleaned with soap or detergent and water solutions.
• NEVER use petroleum-based cleaners or lubricants on the Lighter body.
• Remove any debris and combustible material from the Lighter. The Lighter must be kept clear and free
from combustible materials, gasoline and other flammable vapor and liquids.
• NOTE - THERE ARE NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE THE LIGHTER HANDLE. DO NOT
DISASSEMBLE OR ATTEMPT TO REPAIR YOUR LIGHTER FOR ANY REASON.
• Do not modify Lighter in any way. Do not alter factory settings. Serious injury or death can result from
adjusting factory settings or modifying factory fitted parts.
• To avoid risk of damage to Lighter, always protect it from impact and never allow the lighter to drop onto
floor or hard surfaces. Do not use the lighter if it appears to be damaged.
• Before each use, check all parts for proper function and damage.
• Do not use this Lighter for any purpose other that its design intent, which is to light charcoal and wood
fuel in outdoor cooking appliances and fireplaces.
• Gloves, eye protection, long sleeves, long pants & boots are recommended while using your lighter..
• Use only standard 1 pound propane cylinders. Do not use MAPP gas cylinders.
• NEVER apply flame to cylinders to check for leaks or to increase gas pressure.
• NEVER operate Lighter or any equipment if the odor of LP-Gas is evident. Immediately shut off all
valves and, using soapy water, check all equipment for leaks.
• NEVER leave the Lighter unattended while in operation.
• NEVER stand or prop the Lighter on the nozzle end while in operation.
• Have a type ABC fire extinguisher at the ready, easily accessible to the person operating the Lighter.
• Keep your Lighter out of the reach of children. DO NOT allow children to operate this Lighter.
• Use extra caution on sunny days or under windy conditions. Sunshine can make it difficult to see the
flame, and wind can carry the flame or sparks to unintended areas.
• It is not necessary to open the control knob completely to get a usable flame. Opening the valve completely
(wide open) could cause rapid fuel consumption leading to frosting of the propane fuel cylinder. Frosting of
the propane fuel cylinder can lower the tank pressure and produce an inadequate flame.
• If you have a weak flame or abnormal flame the propane cylinder may be getting low on fuel. Replace the
propane cylinder.
• If the lighter will not ignite, confirm that a spark is generated at the nozzle between the electrode and the
nozzle. If there is no spark replace the batteries.
