Operating and installation instructions.
The SEAT DataPlug Works in combination with SEAT applications. These can
be downloaded through the app stores. I registration is required and relevant
personal details must be provided to use the full range of services.
Warning.
• Your attention should always be primarily focused on the surrounding
traffic! Only use a smartphone when traffic conditions allow it.
• Never leave the DataPlug on a seat, on the dashboard or in any
location where it could be flung through the vehicle as a result of
sudden braking, an accident or collision.
• Information about your DataPlug: Your DataPlug must
not come into contact with liquids. If the DataPlug gets
wet, it must be replaced. Always use dry cleaning
accessories to care for your DataPlug. When cleaning
the dash panel area in your car with wet cleaning agents,
make sure that you remove the DataPlug beforehand
and only plug it back into the OBD2interface when the
cleaned area is completely dry.
The following pre-conditions must be met for the DataPlug and apps
to work perfectly:
• The DataPlug must be connected to the vehicle's diagnostic connector
(OBD2 interface).
• The app must have been downloaded via the Internet from the Google
Play (for Android devices) or App Store (for iOS devices) and correctly
installed on the smartphone.
• The smartphone and DataPlug must be paired via Bluetooth
(see below).

Bluetooth pairing.
Bluetooth pairing is part of the app installation process and the connection
must be set up through this. The app installation process provides
appropriate instructions and information for the Bluetooth pairing process.
Requirements:
• Bluetooth must be enabled on the smartphone.
• The DataPlug Bluetooth PIN mist be to hand: this PINF can be found
on a sticker on the outside of the packaging and on the DataPlug itself.
• The DataPlug must not be paired via the smartphone's Bluetooth settings
→ if necessary this pairing must be removed.
Once the Bluetooth connection has been successfully set up, the smartphone
connects automatically to the DataPlug every time the ignition is switched on.
