SAFETY AND TROUBLESHOOTING
Thermal Protection: Safety Shut-Off and Troubleshooting
1.
Under conditions of continuous and/or heavy use, your Chef-Built Commercial
Immersion Blender is equipped with a Safety Shut-Off Feature that turns the
Immersion Blender OFF to prevent the motor from overheating.
2.
In the event of a Safety Shut-Off, unplug the Immersion Blender from the electric
outlet.
3.
Twist the motor base/handle 1/4 turn to detach the stick from the motor base/
handle.
4.
Use a spatula to carefully remove any food lodged between the blade guard and
the blade.
WARNING! BLADES ARE SHARP! Handle carefully. DO NOT PLACE YOUR
FINGERS NEAR THE BLADES. Use extreme care when cleaning or handling.
Failure to do so can result in personal injury.
5.
Allow approximately 5 to 10 minutes for the motor to cool down. Assemble the
motor base/handle to the detachable stick.
6.
Plug the Immersion Blender power cord into the electric outlet, press the 8 inch
Immersion Blender POWER button to LOW or HI and continue blending.
CARE & CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! THE DETACHABLE STICK MUST BE WASHED, RINSED, SANITIZED
AND DRIED AFTER EACH USE. THE MOTOR BASE/HANDLE MUST BE WASHED
AND SANITIZED AFTER EACH USE.
1.
Before cleaning, unplug Immersion Blender from the electric outlet.
2.
Twist the motor base/handle 1/4 turn to detach the stick from the motor base/
handle. Place the motor base/handle in a clean, dry and safe area.
3.
Wash, rinse and sanitize the stainless-steel shaft after every use, or after any 1-hour
period of non-use, following the detailed procedures described below under wash,
rinse and sanitize detachable shaft.
4.
Carefully wipe and clean the motor base/handle exterior with a damp cloth or a
sponge dampened with sanitizing solution after every use.
WARNING: DO NOT IMMERSE MOTOR BASE/HANDLE IN WASHING
SOLUTION, RINSE WATER OR SANITIZING SOLUTION.
5.
Allow the detachable shaft and motor base/handle to air-dry before using.
6.
Washing solutions based on non-sudsy detergents and chlorine-based sanitizing
solutions having a minimum chlorine concentration of 100 PPM are recommended.
The following wash, rinse, and sanitize solutions, or their equivalents, may be used.
Wash: Diversey® Wyandotte: Diversol® BX/A or CX/A - 4 tablespoons/gallon,
Hot: 115˚F (46˚C)
Rinse: Plain Water, Warm: 95˚F (35˚C)
7.
Repetitive use applications: Frequent cleaning will prolong the life of the blade.
