1 INTRODUCTION
Congratulations! You have just purchased the Cuisinart® electric
slow cooker (model PSC650E).
Continuing research into innovation and the care taken when
developing this product together guarantee a very practical
appliance for even, autonomous and energy-efficient cooking.
The three gentle cooking settings will let you prepare your food
without drying it out and with very little evaporation.

3 USE
A. Assembly instructions
1. Before using the slow cooker for the first time, wash the ceramic
bowl and the glass lid in warm soapy water or in the dishwasher
then rinse well and dry.
. Wipe the inside and the outside of the base of the slow cooker
with a soft damp cloth.
3. Place the ceramic bowl in the slow cooker base and place the
lid onto the bowl.
4. Finally, plug in the retractable power cord. The slow cooker is
now ready to use.

B. Operating instructions
Slow cooking involves cooking food very gently in its own juice

or in a sauce, generally in a casserole. After adding a liquid, the
preparation is then covered again with the lid and simmered over
low heat for the preparation time called for in the recipe.

For traditional dishes (beef Bourguignon, mutton stew, Provençal
stew, etc.) it is preferable to brown the meat over high heat before
cooking it in the bowl to eliminate fat and give it a colour that will

improve the taste of your preparation.

• Put the recipe ingredients in the bowl.

• Place the cooking bowl on the base.

• Cover with the lid.
• Turn the unit on.
• Set to the desired cooking setting (blue diode).
• Set the desired cooking time in 30-minute increments.
• When the cooking is finished, the unit will switch automatically
over to the keep warm setting.
• Turn the unit off at the desired time or allow it to turn itself off
after 8 hours.
Adjusting the timer: Lets you programme the cooking time
according to the type of food.
Programming is divided into 30-minute increments over 4 hours.
Once the cooking time finishes, the unit automatically switches to
the keep warm setting (for 8 hours).
