Do not make modifications to the machine. Any alteration or modification made in it will invalidate the
product warranty.
2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
ATTENTION: READ THIS MANUAL BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT. FAILURE TO FOLLOW
THE INSTRUCTIONS AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS IN THIS MANUAL MAY RESULT IN
SERIOUS INJURY. RETAIN THIS MANUAL FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
Safety in the work zone
1. Keep the work area clean and tidy. An untidy and poorly lit work area leads to accidents.
2. Do not use the tool in potentially hazardous environments containing fuel, gases or dust. The tools
generate sparks that could ignite gases or dust.
3. Keep children and others away when operating a tool. A distraction can cause the operator to lose
control of the tool.
Personal safety
1. Stay alert, focus on what you are doing and use common sense when using a tool. Do not use
a tool when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. When working
with a tool, lack of concentration can cause serious personal injury.
2. Always wear safety equipment and eye protection (safety glasses). Safety equipment such as a
dust mask, non-skid shoes, hard hat and ear protection will reduce the risk of personal injury.
3. Avoid unintentional starting. Make sure the switch is in the off position before connecting the
tool to the compressed air supply. Loading tools with your finger on the switch or connecting tools
that have the switch in the "on" position is an accident-prone position.
4. Remove any adjusting key before starting the tool. Any wrench that is on any rotating part of the
tool may cause personal injury.
5. Keep your feet firmly seated and balanced at all times. This will enable you to better control the
tool in unexpected situations.
6. Wear appropriate clothing. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and
gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewelry or long hair can get caught in moving
parts.
7. Wear hearing protection. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.
16
Wear eye and ear protection when operating the machine.
Use a mask or respirator to avoid inhaling airborne particles and harmful
vapors.
Keep people, objects and/or animals away when using the tool.
